The dogs must be so happy we had Lennon (ya right!). Now they have this wonderful Baby Papasan chair they can sleep in. They fight over which one gets it. And if you see dog hair on Leni it's from this:

We just got back from our cabin. There was so much snow! Chauncey, Sonya & Livia came with us, and it was a great trip. Here are some pictures from our weekend. I only managed to take 3 pictures the whole time!

I'm going to post a series of our remodel pics and maybe it will motivate me to complete the final things! Once Lennon was born all projects stopped!

So here is the bathroom before, love the yellow! That's why it had to go.







Fancy came over to help us complete our projects! She helped a ton. By this point I was 8 months pregnant & definately not in the mood to do remodeling projects. Shannon took all the tiles off the wall for us. And painted a ton of things too.

small update & pics of course

We just got back from our co-birthday party along with Daves too! It was super fun, even with Lennons freak out at Litza's. I felt so bad for her! Apparently when she wakes up in the middle of her nap she is not happy. After dinner we went bowling and luckily she slept the entire time. Poor girl! We had a great time. I(*) managed to bowl an amazing 83 the first game!

Here are a few recent pictures we have taken. Lennon is getting so big! She is three months. This week she just started to grab her toys & eat her hands like crazy. It is so fun to watch her learn new things.

So i'm going to post pictures!

our baby is here!

Lennon Rae was born on December 19th at 12:22 am. She weighed 6 lbs. 15 oz and is 20 inches long. I went in to be induced at 1:30 pm on the 18th, after waiting around all morning thinking they were going to say it was to late. They finally called and we got there @ 2:00. Dr. Terry came in and broke my water at about 2:30 & then they started the pitocin at 3:00. I was having good contractions that were about 3 minutes apart, but I was only dilated to a 3... The Dr. said that she was looking up at the ceiling so it was slowing it down. The contractions got super strong and I decided I wanted the epidural around 7:00, which is pretty good I think! The Dr. came and gave it to me & about 30 minutes later I was telling Mike it's not working. Only my but was numb, so I could still feel every contraction. I was saying if this is how it works what is the point of an epidural?! So the Dr. came back and just put more medicine in the same IV. That still didn't work. Finally he came back saying this never happens and he would have to give me another epidural. I didn't even care, I just wanted him to hurry up and do it! That finally kicked in & next thing I knew I was dilated to a 5. The next check a 7 and then next time a 10. Dr. Terry came back in and about 20 minutes later Lennon was born! She has tons of black curly hair which was surprising! She is so cute... here she is.

I know I have been a huge blogger slacker...so without further delay.... THE NURSERY! And even if I do say so myself, I think it's the cutest thing I've ever seen. It looks like it's in a magazine. Thanks again Jeri. You are the best!

only child

It's official. Lennon is going to be an only child. That is unless we adopt the next. All you guys that have been pregnant more than one time.... YOU'RE NUTS! Adoption sounds perfect for the next. Then we will be guaranteed a boy & we will be done. 2 is the perfect amount :)

If she doesn't get out from under my right ribcage I don't know what i'm going to do. It hurts soooooo bad. It feels like she is trying to open my ribs and come out that way.

And finally I haven't uploaded any new pics, so nothing to see here folks. Move along. One day, maybe next weekish I can get some up. We should be in our house, that we bought OCTOBER 4th, by this weekend. (crossing our fingers) But at least the bathroom is awesome! When you see the pics you will know. Or anyone can come over and help me get Leni's room ready. The boys put her crib together until they realized a piece was broken. So I am waiting for it to arrive in the mail. I can't wait to get it because her bedding is so unbelievably cute. Jeri is the best. You will be jealous when you see it ;)

Now I'm going to lay down because being pregnant BLOWS.

slacking

I have been slacking on the blog lately! Our house has consumed my entire life. I promise I will post some pictures of the house before/after, my baby shower, baby bedding, new stomach pics & Halloween party very soon!

The house is ours!!

We finally had our closing & got the keys! So, who wants to come over and help paint, take down wall paper, take off panelling, or knock down a wall?! Anyone, anyone?

Dennis we have the Redbull/Vodka waiting! I know you are out of town this weekend...so maybe next weekend the carpet pulling out can begin?

We will basically be over at the house any time we are not working or I am not up at Jeri's working on the bedding! Feel free to stop by and see it. By the way, the bedding is so cute. I can't stand it. I took some pictures so when I get around to it I will post some of the work in progress. Also lots of our house before and after shots.

root canal hell

It all started with a routine root canal. Since I'm pregnant I could not get the laughing gas. They tried to numb my tooth, but lucky for me it was the hardest tooth in your mouth to numb! When they started drilling they had to switch to Plan B to numb me. They had to give me a shot directly into my tooth! That was a fun thing! It immediately made my heart start racing & I felt like I had just ran a marathon. I had to sit up for 10 minutes while my heart slowed down.

Ok so the root canal is complete. I am home recovering and all seems to be going pretty good. Except the side they worked on I keep happening to bite down on and it is horrible pain. I am very careful while chewing on the other side & never try to bite down on the bad side, but it just keeps happening. I figure out that they have not shaved it down right so it is perfect that whenever I bite I bite down right on the sore tooth.

It wasn't that bad this weekend, I thought maybe this is just a really sore root canal that will take longer to heal. But then I woke up this morning & my mouth & jaw hurt soooo bad. I was planning to go in there anyway to have them grind it down better. When I got there the assistant touched my tooth to feel where it was higher and I burst into tears! I have never been in so much mouth pain in my life! It is awful. So I hope that this does the job. If it still hurts on Thursday I have to go back in and make sure all is going well, but believe me I will! I am not going through another weekend like that.

I'm looking lovely, I know, but at least I am finally getting around to post the pictures!

I think we are closing on the house on the 26th!! We can't wait. We went by it tonight & we realized that the wall that is panelled is covering 2 windows! Why did people use to panel over windows & cover hardwood with carpet? Anyway, now we aren't sure if we will be able to take down the paneling right away. I hope we will anyway.

We are buying this house!!

After much run around & dealing with morons they have accepted our offer! The house is as good as ours, once it gets appraised, inspected & all that other stuff. I thought I would post some pictures of it even though it's still in the old person state. We are ripping out the carpet for the hardwood, taking off that awful paneling & we painting. We haven't chosen our colors yet, but I think Lennon's room will be green. I'm not sure what we are doing to the kitchen, probably nothing for a while. The cupboards aren't bad, but the counter is blue! It's hot we know. The bathroom... well you will just have to see it in person. Let's just call the house a small fixer upper. But it is going to be super cute one day! I just can't wait to move in & have our own space. YAY (Oh & these are the pictures from the realtor. That's why they are so bad, the roof looks crazy in the picture.)
