Name changes

Apparently Lennon thinks lala needs another name change. Out of nowhere "mom, can we change babies name to Ariel? Oh and my name to Ariel too?"

2 minutes

Lennon thinks that 2 minutes is the only time there is. She was just playing with some toys with her papa and he asked her how long a toy was? Her answer : two minutes! Also every time we go out and I tell her it's time to leave she always says " two more minutes mom, please". I have caught her with her toys also giving them two minute time-outs and letting them stay for two more minutes!

Lennon after the dentist

Lennon after dentist from starr smith on Vimeo.

Here's Len on her way home from the dentist after she had 9 cavities filled!  It was so sad!  She did really good though and she was back to normal by the afternoon.  She never complained about her mouth, but she did say the IV arm hurt a few times.

Papas in trouble again

The moment Mike walked through the door:

"Dad you're in big trouble. You didn't take care of it. You are supposed to shovel the snow and Mom fell with Holland and I fell and now my knees are all jacked up."

She completely heard my phone conversation to her Papa and repeated it the next day! I really slipped on some ice with the car seat in tow and while holding Lennon's hand (so she wouldn't fall was what I told her), dragging her down. You better believe I called Mike when I got home and told him my knee was "jacked up!"

Gotta love 3 year olds. They are beyond hilarious and keep you on your toes! I can't imagine being a person that doesn't like kids or want them... boring!

Lennon Quotes

Me: those are peanuts. Grandpa JJ brought the over for you.
Her: Oh that was nice of him!

Me: Here eat this veggie burger. It's so good.
Her: It's not good for me mom. (as she spits the bite out)

Lennon says

Every day the things Lennon says crack me up! It is so entertaining to be with her so much since I quit my job. I have been blogging her quotes so I won't forget, they are just too funny to not write down!

Yesterday I'm getting her dressed and as she gets naked she sighs really loud and says "getting naked is hard." Yeah it is sweetie! Just keep that in mind as you are getting older, O.K.

I told Lennon she needs to be careful with her Legos because of her sister. She says "babies not around, she's fast asleep."

She told me, "I love you Mama, you're a good baby sitter!"

3 year old

It's 7:23 and so far Lennon is cracking me up! She just went potty and she said, "Getting naked is hard." Now we're playing grocery store and her plastic ice cream cone is cracked. I asked her what happened to it and she said, "It's a mystery."

Where does she hear this stuff?! It is so entertaining!

Birthday words of wisdom

This morning is Lennon's Birthday! We were all snuggling in our bed and Holland started crying so Lennon told her, "no crying on Birthdays, no crying on Christmas, no crying on Thanksgiving, no crying on Halloween." It was hilarious! (and now if only she would follow her own advice!)

Happy Thanksgiving

All day we told Lennon we were going to a Thanksgiving party at Aunt Jeri's house. I guess Lennon imagined a "party" so during dinner she says to us I want to go home - Thanksgiving party is dumb!

(Yeah kid, it is kind of a boring holiday especially when you're young. That's why I called it a party - woops!)

Thanks to the Bischoffs for having us! It was so yummy! We are thankful for all of YOU!

Lennon says

Lennon and I wanted Mike to get the Christmas tree out tonight. The weather turned bad and it started to rain/snow so I told Len we couldn't do it cause it would get wet while carrying it in. She thought about it and said "I know, we need the umberellas. I'll find them!" Then she told me "we need to work together to carry it in, Team Work!" HAhahah Hilarious!!

I was telling Len when she turns 3 she needs to get rid of her sippy cups. I told her the birthday is coming soon and she said "I don't want the time to come!"

Grandpa JJ watched her on Thursday and while showing him how a toy worked she matter-of-factly says "that's the idea."

Miss Lennon says

This sassy little girl is awesome! I love age 2.5 (minus the tantrum freak outs)

I have to document the funny things she's said lately. Today she pooped and said "smells like papa" while Mike changed her diaper. Yesterday she threw a tantrum saying "I want to go peepee" over and over and over and over and over. (We were going to the store and she wanted to go on the potty first so she could get a toy, but she couldn't go.)

Pops asked her if she liked Holland and she said "no that's mamas!"

She told me that I "freak out" and "I need my own Pepsi!"

Here are pictures I couldn't resist posting:

Holland at 3 and 4 weeks

Holland is such a chunk- she weighs ten pounds now! She is so cute! Her personality is a lot fussier than Lennon was and she LOVES being held. Doesn't really do the swing or the seat, until she's asleep and then you can put her down. We love having her in our family including Lennon! Lennon is totally warming up to her now (thank goodness). Mike asked her today if she loves her baby sister Holland and she said YES! He also asked her if we should give her away or keep her and she said to keep her - yay! I caught her giving her the binky yesterday. She was very patient and held it to her mouth until she had it good.
Yay for sisters!

Almost 4 weeks look at those cheeks :)
3.5 weeks at Liberty Park. I love this picture of her!

3 weeks eyes open. Still blond as ever!

Liberty park fun

Francie and Sam came up to our hood last week so we could take the kids to the park & eat the lunch special at Su Casa! YUM! The kids had a blast swinging & then going on the rides before we left. Lennon threw a major tantrum as we were leaving (see picture). We are now giving her to the count of three to do what we ask or she gets a timeout. It has been working brilliantly (thanks France)! Before that we were just threatening her with you will be in big trouble but then never following through with anything so she never cared. I even heard her playing with some toys saying "you'll be in big trouble".

Looking so damn adorable as we left our house. I may have lost her sunglasses now... NO!

Riding the super sweet cars
Each of them on the airplanes

She chose the pink plane & then later wanted to ride the "shark plane". When I said no this is how she responded:
I wouldn't pay $1.50 for her to ride the planes again. Can you say ripoff?!

The past 2 weeks

Two weeks old today

SISTERS :)

Lennon's first painting. Taking after her papa

I love this picture. Look at how blond her hair is! It is almost platinum!

Getting some sun while she was still pretty jaundiced

Having two kids has been a challenge! I am sure it will get better with time. Right now we are all trying to adjust. Lennon is having a hard time with her new sister. She won't really get close to her or touch her yet! She says to me every day "put the baby down, hold me." OUCH! It makes me feel so bad.

Yesterday at Hollands 2 week Dr. appointment the Dr. took off her cord so now she can take a bath. I gave the girls a bath together today and Lennon was helping to wash her and pour water on her to rinse her off! Hopefully that is a good sign that we're making progress on the adjustment.

2 week stats:
8.9 pounds (she's already gained 1.5 pounds!) 58%ile
21.5 inches 83%ile
head 14.4 inches 63%ile

Sisters

Tonight Shannon took Lennon for a walk. A neighbor asked her what her name was and she said "I'm Lennon and I have a baby sister!" Maybe she is getting used to the idea, or maybe not....

More 2 year old quotes

I took Lennon to Lactation Station yesterday. We walked in and there was a little airplane toy on a high shelf. Lennon immediately says "baby sister would love that airplane. Get it for baby sister". Seriously! How cute and thoughtful she said that & how smart is she?! I can't believe she can make out those sentences!

We have a little pitty that we put her on to try and get her excited about going. So far she hasn't actually gone, but it's hilarious when we put her on it. She gets very serious, kinda turns red trying to go so hard and then says "I can't do it". I am going to film it because it's so funny! I'm sure you have to see it and you will love it too.

enjoying the moment

Today was the best day ever! I got an hour massage with hot stones and it was awesome. While I was driving home I thought hmm I think I'll see about getting a pedicure, there was no wait, so I did! Then when I got home Lennon was being so cute. She told me I went and got tickles and rubs. (I love the way she says rubs!) OH and not to forget Mike and Lennon cleaned the whole house for me "because it would make mama so happy" as Lennon said.

Len got a kick out of my pink toes so I offered to paint hers and of course she obliged! She could hardly sit still 30 seconds so it was tricky. Luckily we were outside too because the bottle got spilled all over!

When I put her down to nap I also took a 2 hour nap! Seriously, the best day ever :) I am trying to cherish my last moments with Lennon before her sister is here. It is going great now that i have this new attitude about it. Plus it is the last time I will be pregnant so i am trying to enjoy that part also!

36 weeks

But who's counting?...oh yeah ME! I am freaking out about going from 1 to 2! It is scary. Of course I am excited to meet the baby and see her, but I have the normal worries of taking care of two kids & making sure Lennon still feels important & loved. I am sure it will be fine, but sometimes I get nervous about it.

I washed the car seat all out tonight. Whoever wrote the instructions on taking off the cover is a complete moron! I spent almost an hour trying to figure it out. Only to realize the instructions did not even tell me the most important step, which I figured out on my own! I was so close to buying a new one. I'm sure now that I have that all ready she will not come early at all, maybe even late.

We got a double stroller from my Mama & Papa too! It is so funny because Lennon loves it like it's some kind of toy. She wouldn't get out of it at BabiesRUs. We finally convinced her to and told her Papa would bring it home after work. First thing when Mike walks in she says "my stroller" and he ahd not picked it up! We told her the store was closed. We cannot believe her memory! She does not forget one thing you tell her. It is amazing! Anyway, Mike brought it home the next day and it is set up in our living room. She watched cartoons from it this morning! Hilarious.

We took her to the aquarium today which was fun, but way too crowded. They just got penguins there so I guess half of the state had the same idea we did. We had to wait in a line to even get in and Lennon says "too much people!" That was hilarious too. She said it a few more times when we were in line. The penguins are really cute, but not worth that madness. The octopus laid eggs too, so it would be neat to go back and see if any hatch.

Boring post, but at least an update. I will add an easter post soon with pictures.

Fish Kite!

We took Lennon to fly her first kite today! Shannon got me this kite for my birthday, but don't try to tell Lennon it's mine - according to her "It's mine!" (which she says about a LOT of things lately) Anyway, it was such a blast watching her see this for the first time. It was one of those times seeing something through her eyes was like reliving it for the first time.

Here she is with HER cool kite! "FISH KITE" she kept yelling the whole time and chasing it around

She is flying the kite here!

More of her flying it

Here's papa mid flight and Lennon trying to chase it!
